We are seeking qualified individuals to fill the role of Gender Officer to strengthen safeguarding, protection, and humanitarian assistance in emergency operations. The officer will proactively reach out to local NGOs/CSOs, community actors, and humanitarian partners to ensure inclusive, survivor-centered programming that supports people in crisis and those most vulnerable.
Conduct analyses and risk assessments to identify needs and barriers for people in emergency settings and those with limited access to services.
Develop and implement practical, protection-focused strategies and action plans that align with humanitarian standards.
Provide technical guidance on safeguarding and protection services; strengthen partner capacity in delivering timely assistance.
Integrate protection and gender perspectives across program design, monitoring, and reporting.
Build the capacity of NGOs/CSOs and community actors; map referrals and services to support vulnerable individuals.
Coordinate with relevant national and humanitarian partners; ensure alignment with universal protection principles.
Monitor protection-related indicators and contribute to donor reporting (where applicable).
Uphold safeguarding, data confidentiality, and ethical standards in information handling.
Proactively engage with communities to enhance participation in humanitarian decision-making and ensure accessible assistance.
