Job Descriptions:

Assisting in meeting the bank’s cash requirements on a day-to-day basis

  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to analyzing and anticipating the bank's need for cash to ensure that adequate funds are available when needed.
  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to prepare plans for the provision of such funds and makes recommendations concerning the sources of such funds.
  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to establishing and maintaining systems and procedures for monitoring the banks daily inflow and outflow of cash.
  • Treasury Consultant is responsible for fund management with corresponded banks and also with fund managers.
  • Maximum utilization of fund considering to bank’s risk appetite in capital market.
  • Management of bank’s extra fund to increase the revenue of the bank based on bank’s strategy plan.
  • Should have fund management and trading skills. And also, should have experience of working in front office

Assisting in managing the bank’s relationship with overseas banks and other financial institutions

  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to establishing and maintaining efficient banking arrangements necessary for the management of bank balances and other funds.
  • Pricing of the bank’s products and services (investments, currencies, etc).
  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to external monitoring of prices available on banking products and services.
  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to pricing banking products and services on a day-to-day basis and making same available to general staff.

Assisting in carrying out the bank’s settlements function

  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to tracking available balanced in the bank’s current accounts and ensuring availability to meet drawings.
  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to monitoring items being lodged to current accounts and deciding to ensure bank receives value in shortest possible time.
  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to approving all wires and immediate debits to the bank’s current accounts.

Hedging against risk positions

  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to monitoring position balances
  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to identifying and establishing hedge positions to mitigate against risk positions
  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to placing surplus funds with other foreign correspondent banks.

Preparing assigned reports

  • Treasury Consultant is responsible to prepare Gap reports and sensitivity analysis, Cash flow reports, etc.
  • To attend to any other matter that may not have been mentioned in this document but advised by CEO of the Bank.

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • International professional certifications such as ACCA, FRM, or equivalent are required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Treasury, Finance, or Money Market operations.
