Job Descriptions:

Regular Responsibilities:

  • Follow directions and conduct quality procedures under supervision of a trained technologist in compliance with the standard of practice and departmental procedure protocols
  • Maintains a complete personal daily procedure register & on computer by entering the daily workload
  • Works with senior staff to maintain daily workload and procedure reports.
  • Engages in continuing education by updating knowledge of technical skills and scientific developments in diagnostic procedures through reading and other means.
  • Continues to learn and apply basic and intermediate EEG waveform recognition and other Neurophysiology waveforms, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, history taking and clinical correlation, contraindications for activation procedures, instrumentation and preparation for use.
  • Attend the training sessions regularly.
  • Carries out any other responsibilities delegated by the senior staff member(s) pertaining to the department.

            Periodic Responsibilities:

  • As and when assigned by the senior Staff members.

  Any other factors:

  • Should be prepared for late sittings or on-calls in emergency situation.
  • Adherence to medical ethics, confidentiality, and professional integrity.

Job Requirements:

Eligible candidates should have:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree, previous health care experience will be beneficial
  • Diploma in Neurophysiology preferred.
  • Should be tactful, courteous, polite and ability to communicate with people, both written and verbal.
  • Good in interpersonal skills in English, Dari and Pashto.
  • Awareness the requirement of strict confidentiality regarding patient information.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and have initiative, be resourcefulness and demonstrate creativity and ability
  • Be a team player. Work closely with the junior and senior members of the staff.
  • Interest in developing career, shows initiative
  • Basic computer know-how is preferable.
  • Willingness to learn new interventions
  • Prepared to work shift hours
