Position Summary:

The Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme (TSFP) supervisor is responsible for the smooth running of the TSFP program in the province/selected HFs s/he should be able to analyze TSFP and other nutrition data collected throughout the province. A good relationship with the nutrition partners (PNO, UNICEF, WFP, WHO etc.…).

Essential Responsibilities And Duties:

• Responsible for planning, implementation, supervision, and monitoring of the TSFP OPD-MAM-related all activities.
• Together with the Nutrition officer/ cluster supervisor check over all RUSF & Super cereal supplies and check for their accuracy.
• Conduct on-the-job training for the TSFP Assistant, Food distributors, HFs in charge, Nutrition Consular, and midwives at the health facilities level.
• Identify and report problems that interfere with the delivery of services
• On-the-job training on managing TSFP Foods training courses to HFs TSFP Assistants.
• Make sure that the TSFP foods are arranged according to FEFO/FIFO and expiration date.
• Ensure safe, clean, and proper storage of RUSF & Super cereal at HFs
• Attend coordination meetings related to Nutrition (TSFP OPD MAM) issues with coordination of Nutrition officer
• Conduct monthly supervision from TSFP sites based on supervision plan of TSFP project and prepare and submit their reports and prepare action plan based on the finding and follow-up them for solve.
• To assist implementation of national policies, strategies and protocols related to nutrition
• To develop and maintain relation with provincial nutrition referral centers, BPHS health facilities and communities
• To collect the TSFP project weekly activity reports and prepare in the requested format or enter in the online provided link
• To collect the TSFP project monthly activity reports and enter to nutrition online database
• Establish good relationship with the local authorities and community leaders.
• Analysis of HFs monthly reports, and give them on time feedbacks based on their achievement and issues
• Control of irrational use of TSFP foods at HFs level and report them
• Support of staff for adherence to Nutrition (OPD-MAM) guidelines at HFs level.
• Compare consumption/distribution of RUSF & Super cereal with monthly report/registers and stock and stock card quantity and share feedback with an action plan and follow up
• Compare total case detection with targeted SAM & MAM of total OPD and share feedback with an action plan and follow up
• Regular preparation of feedback and action plans after each supervision/monitoring and sharing with the line manager
• Regular requests, use, and requests of TSFP-related formats.
• Preparing monthly supervision and action plan
• Regular supply of MAM commodities to the HFs

Tracking the monthly RUSF and WSB consumption of HFs and get commodities request of HFs 20 days before they become stock out.

• We Preferred Graduates from MD from a recognized university and Public Health graduates also can apply.
• Minimum 3-year to 5-year work experiences at a similar position.
• Work experience with other health organization specially experience in supervision of HFs under BPHS (HER or Sehatmandi).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work and deal successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
• Problem solving skills.
