Turquoise Mountain is a non-profit, non-governmental organization specializing in urban regeneration, business development, and education in traditional arts and architecture. We seek to provide education, skills and livelihoods to Afghan men and women. Since 2006 Turquoise Mountain has cleared 45,000 cubic meters of rubbish from the streets, restored or built 150 historic and community buildings, created a primary school and a clinic, and installed water, electricity, and sanitation through the historic traditional craft neighborhood of Murad Khani in the old city of Kabul. It has created the internationally accredited Institute for Afghan Arts & Architecture, training the next generation of craftsmen and women in woodwork, jewelry and gem cutting, calligraphy and miniature painting, and ceramics. Finally, it has sold over US$15,000,000 of Afghan artisan products internationally.

Job Summary:

You are fully responsible to teach computer subject and managing classes based on academic standards. Your duties will range from the preparation of course work, planning of classes and the marking of work handed in. On top of this you will also have to arrange some extracurricular activities and set targets for your pupils. You will also be responsible for the safety of pupils during your lessons. You must report from all your class-related activities to the Education Manager; you will teach computer to the 12^th-14^th class students based on the current curriculum. you as computer Professional will also have the responsibility to review this subject current curriculum or produce the new one if required. If there is not any specific study material for teaching, the teacher is responsible to prepare at least   a chapter during a semester according to the subject curriculum from valid resources.

Core Responsibilities:

• Responsible for teaching computer programs (MS windows, office Packages, internet, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe illustrator). & Hardware
• Preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes.
• Marking work, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of students’ Progress and development.
• Teaching theorical/practical classes of Computer subject.
• Selecting and using a range of different learning resources and equipment.
• Undertaking pastoral duties and supporting students on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.
• He is responsible for monitoring Computer lab.
• Liaising with other professionals, such as Education senior officers or director of institute.
• Undergoing regular observations and participating in regular on job training as part of continuing professional development
• Teaching students aged 15+ according to the institute Computer curriculum appropriate to their age.
• Plans lessons in line with targeted objectives to ensure that students learn. He also encourages, monitors and records the progress of his students.
• Support, observe and record the progress of classes, and plan lessons in line with targeted objectives to ensure a healthy learning culture.
• Keep up to date with developments in their subject area, added resources, methods, and objectives.
• The instructor liaises and networks with other professionals, parents, and careers both informally and formally.
• Reviewing the current Computer subject’s curriculum and /or develop the new curriculum based on the market requirement.
• Preparing study materials (chapter) according to subject curriculum using valid resources.
• Have attendance record of student.
• Calculate students’ weekly, monthly, and semesterly attendance.
• Prepare the exam results of his class.
• Daily School Supervision. 
• Other tasks given by the TMI authorities or by the line manager. 
• Preparing students for qualifications and external examinations.
• Managing students’ behavior in the classroom and on school premises and applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior.
• Participating in departmental meetings and whole school training events.

• Having bachelor’s in computer science or IT and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a must.
• Having at least 5 years teaching experience. 
• Having the best communication skills. 
• Having managerial skills.
