Maihan Humanitarian Convergence Organization (MHCO) is a national non-government, non-political, and non-profit organization registered with the Ministry of Economy, committed to delivering humanitarian services across Afghanistan. MHCO focuses on various sectors including Health, Education, Protection, Nutrition, LivelihoodS, Food Security, and Organizational Development.
The CHWs Trainer is responsible for the selection, training, supervision, and deployment of Community Health Workers (CHWs) to support MHCO’s CBHC program and the implementation of the Basic Package of Health Services in Nangarhar Province. This position is designed for couples, and both individuals must be medical staff with experience in conducting CHW trainings. The role involves engaging communities in CHW selection, establishing health committees, conducting training sessions, monitoring CHW fieldwork, facilitating health surveys, and ensuring proper documentation of activities in HMIS and quarterly reports. The CHWs Trainer also serves as a liaison between the community and MHCO, promoting effective health service delivery, evaluating CHW performance, and assisting in the planning and reporting of community-based health initiatives.
