Job Descriptions:

Position Description:

To assist the Stock & Store Function of Logistics Unit in controlling, registering and maintaining record of all assets/inventories

Responsibilities:

  • Review and update asset description, tag numbers, and categories related information within the system.
  • Assist in reconciliating the annual asset inventory report by verifying that the locations are correct, all equipment’s and attractive assets are bar coded/tagged and the assets are assigned to correct locations.
  • Ensure accuracy of the information contained in the inventory reports through comparison of the data on the obtained assets/Inventories, physical annual verification reports and the actual data contained in the database.
  • Perform registration and/or adjustment of assets, if required.
  • Conduct the annual physical inventory count in all regional offices as well as Main Office and provide correct and accurate data.
  • Perform bar-coding/tagging of assets and attractive items, ensuring proper recording and identification of assets in the Assets Management Database and record all receiving transactions.
  • Supervise the shipment of outgoing assets/inventories and make necessary transactions in the Asset/ Inventory Database.
  • Maintain files and documentation related to assigned duties and provide reports pertaining to asset locations when required by the supervisor.
  • Assist the Stock Officer in preparation of documentation for assets write-off or donation and prepare information for asset disposal/auction.
  • Perform stock taking and bar coding of assets in the stock and store point/room.
  • When required, prepare recommendations to the relevant departments on optimal utilization of storage facilities/capacity.
  • The Asset / Inventory Assistant and must strictly follow the organization’s existing security policies, procedures and daily instructions of the safety personnel.
  • Any other responsibilities and tasks as required and decided by Stock Officer

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science (BCS) is required but higher is preferred.

Experience: (3-4) years’ experience in Asset Inventory & Asset management, preferably with the International NGOs is required.

Other qualifications’ advantages:

  • Good typing skills (English & Local Languages)
  • Good knowledge of the computer programs specially in advance excel and MIS   

Languages: Oral & Written fluency in English, Pashto and Dari is required.
