Technical Health Manager

ASLO is an Afghan non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and non-partisan organization and has the status of legal entity. The organization was informally established in 2012 and was officially registered with the ministry of economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013.

ASLO is currently working in the Following sectors in Afghanistan:

•         Construction is ASLO’s core activity and most other activities are directly or indirectly related to construction

•         Emergency response and supporting refugees and IDPs and returnees,

•         Legal Aid and access to justice.

• Plan, coordinate, and manage technical health programs and projects to ensure effective implementation and achievement of objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and support for health initiatives, including clinical services, disease control, maternal and child health, and community health programs.
• Ensure compliance with national health guidelines, protocols, and standards.
• Conduct needs assessments, technical reviews, and monitoring to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, donors, and community stakeholders to strengthen health systems.
• Support capacity building and training of healthcare workers on technical health topics.
• Manage health data collection, analysis, and reporting to guide evidence-based decision-making.
• Lead the development and updating of technical guidelines, SOPs, and health protocols.
• Oversee the procurement and maintenance of medical and technical equipment.
• Ensure quality assurance and risk management in all technical health interventions.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for senior management and donors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, or related health field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical health management or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of health program management, clinical services, and public health principles.
• Experience with health information systems, data management, and monitoring & evaluation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in report writing, project management, and training facilitation.
• Knowledge of donor requirements and health sector policies is an advantage.
