Job Description: 

The  Design Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, and analysis of bridge, Culver,  Retaining wall, over pass, under pass, building and locomotive related to railway and highway projects. This role includes leading the development of engineering calculations, detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for a range of structural works, from simple to complex bridge systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee structural analysis and design for bridges in rail and highway infrastructure.
- Review and develop engineering documents including calculations, specifications, quantities, and cost estimations.
- Lead the structural design process for all project types, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in complex bridge designs.
- Collaborate with project managers for defining project scope, budgeting, and quality assurance.
- Prepare and assist in the development of final bid packages, specifications, and cost documentation.
- Manage design tasks and support the preparation of contract documents in coordination with the relevant ministries and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with international and local design codes and construction standards throughout project implementation.

- Directs and/or performs simple to complex bridge design and analysis in the railroads and highways.

- Be responsible for the development and review of engineering calculations, drawing details, specifications, quantities and cost estimates.

- Lead the structural design for all project types, including complex bridge designs;

- Assist project managers with scoping and budgeting for structural work and be responsible for quality assurance of deliverables.

- Develop and/or assist in developing specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages.

- Manage bridge design task assignments for the bridge team including prepRailway Deputy Ministry of Public Works tion of design calculations, development of contract drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

- Assure that the bridge, Culver,  Retaining wall, over pass, under pass, building and locomotive structures are designed in accordance with approved international and local requirements and the construction is implemented in accordance with accepted industry practices and procedures.
