Job Descriptions:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Development: Draft and edit communication materials for diverse audiences, including press releases, success stories, case studies, newsletters and social media updates. Tailor content to highlight programme achievements in humanitarian and multi sectors while aligning with AADA’s vision and mission.
  • Field Coordination for Content Gathering: Work closely with provincial field teams to collect human-interest stories, photographs, and data from projects. Provide guidance to field staff on capturing success stories and testimonies. Curate and refine field-gathered content for use in donor reports, the organisation’s website, and other publications. Occasional travel to project to support story gathering and communications training for staff.
  • External Communications and Visibility: Manage the organisation’s external communications channels from the HQ. This includes developing content for the website, coordinating social media content, and ensuring consistent messaging. Ensure that all external communication materials adhere to donor visibility and branding requirements (e.g. logos, disclaimers) for each project.
  • Information Management and Version Control: Maintain an organised archive of communication resources and reports on organisation shared drive. Implement version control practices for documents to ensure the latest approved versions of reports, templates, and communication materials are easily accessible and older versions are properly archived. Update communication calendars, content repositories, and grant reporting trackers in real time to support coordinated information management.
  • Donor Compliance and Support: Provide guidance on donor communication and visibility compliance to programme teams. Ensure that all public-facing materials and events meet donor requirements and AADA policies. Compile and disseminate donor guidelines on reporting and visibility to relevant staff.

Strengthen the writing and editing skills of focal points in provincial offices to improve the quality of field contributions to reports and stories.
  • Ad Hoc Support: Contribute to proposal writing or project inception documents from a communications perspective when needed (e.g. developing communication plans or drafting context/background sections). Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support overall programme goals and effective communications.
