High Afghanistan Rehabilitation Organization (HARO) is a humanitarian non-governmental National organization which works to improve the life condition of the residents of the rural areas by providing good services through implementation of the projects and to foster economic, social, cultural, and civil condition of vulnerable and marginalized communities in Afghanistan.
- Conducting individual and group counseling sessions for children and caregivers. This includes focusing on trauma recovery, emotional well-being, and resilience building.
- Assessing the psychosocial needs of children and developing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with the child and their caregivers.
- Implementing evidence-based MHPSS (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support) interventions and activities within the Child Friendly Spaces. These interventions will be culturally sensitive and age-appropriate.
- Facilitating psychoeducational sessions on topics such as stress management, coping strategies, and child rights.
- Working closely with community members, local leaders, and other stakeholders to promote community-based psychosocial support initiatives.
- Monitoring and evaluating the impact of MHPSS interventions, collecting data and feedback to inform program improvements.
- Collaborating with other project staff, including social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals, to provide integrated support services.
- Maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of counseling and client interactions.
- Contributing to the development of MHPSS training materials and capacity-building activities for project staff and volunteers.
