HISTORY
Global Partners is an international Nongovernment Organization (NGO) based in the United Kingdom that carries out humanitarian projects worldwide. Global Partners was formed in 1991 with the objectives of advancing education and relieving poverty.

WHERE WE WORK
Global Partners has been involved in relief work in more than 20 countries around the world and has continuing development projects in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Asia to identify and evaluate the greatest needs of the people we serve. Alongside local partners, we attempt to eliminate obstacles and elevate the abilities and success of communities.

Global Partners maintains a broad base of donors and receives funding from:

Global Partners never solicits funds from countries in which Global Partners is working.  Global Partners (UK) is a registered British charity (1009755) and welcomes funding from all sources, provided such funding falls within the stated objectives of advancing education and relieving poverty.

WHAT WE DO:
Global Partners works in the areas of community development, education and training, health improvement, emergency relief, and refugee assistance.

Global Partners Afghanistan is looking for a guard to serve our gabion weaving project work in Baghlan Province.
In addition to typical guard duties, this candidate may be called up to assist in gabion weaving training and supervision – those skills would be ideal.

Employment requirements / qualifications:
• At least 5 years of work experience with an international institution
• At least six months of work experience in the gabion weaving sector. May be needed to assist trainers or supervisor in gabion weaving activities.
• Commitment to punctuality, discipline, and teamwork.
• Good communication skills and patience.
• Having moderate literacy in national languages.
• Ideally living in Baghlan Province or familiar with Pul-e-Khumri and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for answering the front gate and front door in a timely manner.
Responsible for the security of the office yard and property on the yard.
Responsible for checking the credentials of anyone wishing to visit the GP Office.
Responsible for cleaning the office once per week.
Act and work responsibly and with integrity according to standards of GP and the Laws of the Government of Afghanistan.
Do not pay bribes under any condition.
Responsible for all other tasks as assigned by your supervisor which fit within the scope of the job position.
