About Management Studies Organization (MSO):

The Management Studies Organization (MSO) is registered in the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan with the registration number 4693 in March 27, 2019. The overall goal of the MSO is to provide humanitarian and volunteer services for active contribution in reconstruction and development of Afghanistan through strengthening democracy, good governance, and social justice. In its current project; MSO will implement the project in Herat Province (Injil District and Karokh District) as a local partner to ASPSO/TDH, implementing the project “Reintegration of RR and IDPs through Employment Opportunities and Skills Development”.

Job Descriptions:

 

    1. Build relationships with community members, leaders, and stakeholders.
    2. Organize community meetings, awareness sessions, and group discussions
    3. Motivate and encourage community participation in projects and programs.
    4. Share information about available services, rights, and opportunities with community members.
    5. Promote behavioral change through education and dialogue.
    6. Identify target beneficiaries through surveys, focus groups, or interviews.
    7. Collect accurate demographic, social, and economic data.
    8. Report on community needs, challenges, and priorities to project management
    9. Support training sessions, workshops, and skill development programs.
    10. Facilitate peer learning and knowledge sharing among community groups.
    11. Help form and strengthen community-based committees.
    12. Work closely with local authorities, and community leaders.
    13. Coordinate with field teams to ensure smooth project implementation.
    14. Assist in conflict resolution and problem-solving within the community.
    15. Track the progress of community activities and beneficiary participation.
    16. Maintain attendance sheets, meeting notes, and beneficiary records.
    17. Submit timely progress reports, including success stories and challenges
    18. Accomplishing any other duty assigned by MSO leadership team to achieve the project objectives.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, community development, education, or a related field. (higher degrees are preferable).
  • Additional training in community mobilization, facilitation, or advocacy is an advantage
  • Previous experience working with communities, NGOs, or humanitarian/development projects.
  • Culturally sensitive and respectful of local customs and traditions.
  • Motivated, proactive, and able to inspire community participation
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email) are an advantage
  • Knowledge of English language and local languages
