LKRO is a non-governmental, non-profit organization focused on community development in southern Afghanistan. The organization implements projects in livelihood, education, health, and emergency response.
The Program Manager leads the Program Unit and oversees all programmatic activities, ensuring effective planning, implementation, and compliance with donor and organizational standards. Key responsibilities include:
♦ Lead the Program Unit and ensure successful execution of all program projects and activities.
♦ Develop and maintain project plans, reports, and budgets aligned with donor requirements.
♦ Coordinate with stakeholders, partners, and communities to ensure program relevance and impact.
♦ Support proposal and concept note development for funding opportunities.
♦ Provide technical guidance and supervision to project coordinators and field teams.
♦ Monitor program progress and ensure timely reporting to senior management and donors.
♦ Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations.
♦ Perform any additional tasks assigned by the General Director or Deputy Director.
♦ Report directly to the General Director/Deputy Director.
Minimum 7 years of experience in program management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
► Proven ability to manage complex projects and multi-stakeholder coordination.
► Strong skills in project planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
► Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
► Familiarity with donor compliance (UN, USAID, EU, etc.) and program management software/tools.
► Master's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, or related field.
► Fluency in Pashto and Dari is an advantage.
