Afghan Community and Health Rehabilitation Organization (ACHRO) is a non-political, non for profit, non- governmental organization registered with the Ministry of Economy of GIRoA on April, 08, 2010 under registration # 1658. ACHRO has also been registered or recognized as partner with more than 40 national and International organizations. ACHRO is active Partner of (UNHCR) and (WHH). ACHRO has established and maintains network with civil society, community-based social institutions, and government line ministries in Afghanistan. ACHRO’s core sectors of activities include health, emergency/relief, capacity building, women empowerment, and livelihood and development sectors. ACHRO is currently implementing UN- WOMEN and UNHCR-funded project in the South-East, south and central regions of the country.

• Provision of essential nutrition counselling including IYCFE promotion.
• Management of moderate acute malnutrition in PLW.
• Conduct nutrition screenings, assessemtns and surverys to identify malnutrition cases.
• facilitate community based nutrion education and awareness sesseion 

• Train community health workers, volunteers, and partners on nutrition best practices.

• Support health facilities and local stakeholders in integrating nutrition services.

• Distribution and management of RUTF, RUSF and other supplementary food items if available.
• To encourage early detection of malnutrition by promoting the use of standard screening tools.
• Organize daily, weekly, and monthly overview and reports of screening growth monitoring, IYCF, OTP, health education and consultations.
• Ensure Job aids are available in works area (report format, tally sheet, RUSF and RUTF, stock card and etc.)
• Work closely with the team to ensure all children and PLWs are screened correctly
• Ensure that all program materials are well maintained.
• Check the hygiene at each stage of the related items distribution.
• Assessing and identification of children, women and girls for psychosocial support in targeted communities
• Schedule and conduct field meetings with CDC heads, Women leaders, parents and other target beneficiaries
• Conduct psychosocial pre-developed training plans in target communities
• Familiarize with existing pathways or where necessary develop a system for referral cases and case management which are needing further PSS support or other services.
• Provide context related PSS support at the individual, family, and community members.
• Conduct specific psychosocial group activities, adapted and appropriate to group’s specific needs and capacities.
• When needed work in close collaboration with leaders and others relevant authorities to create and implement psychosocial activities in the centers and the communities.
• Respect all ACHRO’s policies, rules and regulations and practice accordingly.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Dietetics, or related field.

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar position

• Ability to communicate in the local languages
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Be able to work under pressure
• Previous working experience with local and international NGOs
