The Organization of Human Welfare (OHW) is a non-governmental organization and is a non-political, not-for-profit, and impartial organization with no bias towards a particular religion, ethnicity, or political belief. It has its own independent legal status and entity. OHW is operating since 2007 in the country with active membership with the national clusters and international donor agencies in Afghanistan including SWABAC, ACBAR, AICS, BAAG, AWN and most of the national and international Clusters operates based in Afghanistan.

Job Summary & Purpose:
The Nurse is responsible for overall management of related First Aid and provides nursing caring in standalone Health Facility, management and referral services to the targeted population. He/ She is responsible to provide a full package monthly report to the Supervisor.
The pharmacist is responsible for arranging, keeping and distributing of medicine and other medical equipment’s under the close supervision of Supervisor and giving a report of medicines consumption to his/her line supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities;

1. 1.   Take care of minor surgeries in term of the dressing of wounds and other cares,
   2. Distribution of essential medicine prescribed by medical doctor for OPD patients,
   3. Keep record of medicine,
   4. Inform the medical doctor of stock out
   5. Providing Nursing and caring services to the Patients
   6.      Sharing the findings gained by clinic observation with the Head Office and communicating them to the superiors
   7.   Monitoring and administering medication according to the Prescription
   8.  Keeping the Medication plan up to data
   9.  Complying with the hygiene regulation and accident prevention measures
   10.  Observing the data protection regulations
   11.  Taking patient pulses, temperatures and blood pressures
   12. Providing emotional support and psychological to patients
   13. Assist with a doctor to OPD
   14.  On time data collection of medicine
   15. Arranging of medicine in pharmacy stock and keeping medicine in suitable temperature.
   16.  Keeping of stock in and stock out documents
   17.  Registering finance related documents
   18.  Proper storage of medicine and attention to the expiry date of the medicine
   19.  Medicines which expiry date is 6 months remaining should be separately reported
   20. Observing of hygiene on daily basis
   21. -  Monthly and quarterly reporting of Pharmacy stock to the line manager
   22. Helping with other staff in MHNT  activities.
   23.  Willingness for capacity building according to the rules regulation
   24. Need assessment of medicines and preparation of proper demand

Any additional task is given by his/her line supervisor

Bachelor degree in nursing or other related field

Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience at the clinics/ hospitals or health organization
Experience in the use of computers and office software packages and handling of the medical report record systems.

Received RUD, HMIS and other trainings       
Basic knowledge of English and fluent in both national language of Afghanistan.
Have good communication and relationship skill.
