We do this by working with long-term development programmes, humanitarian interventions and advocacy towards decision-makers to address the root causes of injustice, poverty and power imbalance. NCA Afghanistan is working in the thematic area of Climate Resilient WASH, Climate Smart Economic Empowerment, Humanitarian Response, Learning and Social Development and Civil Society capacity building.
NCA seeks a competent and highly motivated Psychosocial Support Counsellor to join the REACH project team. This post will be led by the Climate and Resilience Adviser and line managed by the PSS and Para-Legal Services Coordinator. This post will require close collaboration with the PSS Officer based in Kabul.
The post holder will provide professional counselling services to individuals (female, male and children) and groups to promote optimum mental health, with an emphasis on empowering clients to recover from the trauma caused by earthquake disaster and enable them to handle life's challenges effectively.
