Job Descriptions:

The Data Analyst is tasked with leading the data management and analysis aspects of iMMAP's operations, particularly focusing on Primary Data Collection activities. This role encompasses the entire data lifecycle, from collection and cleaning to analysis and reporting. The Data Analyst is responsible for creating insightful dashboards and reports that inform strategic decision-making, and collaborates closely with other teams and clusters to ensure seamless data integration and utilization across iMMAP's various projects and initiatives.

Job Requirements:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the design and implementation of efficient data flows within the iMMAP team, enhancing data sharing and collaboration.

Provide statistical analysis support to the Information Management (IM) team, contributing to the development of robust data-driven strategies.

Work closely with the MEAL Assistant to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the ITT process, enhancing overall data coherence and utility.

 Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data analysis and visualization, continuously seeking ways to innovate and improve iMMAP's data capabilities.

Oversee the data management and research design (questionnaire design, sampling design) aspects of Rapid Primary Data Collection (RPDC) activities, ensuring high-quality data gathering, cleaning, and analysis, as well as product develops such as snapshot reports and PowerBI Dashboards, partnered with humanitarian clusters.

Develop and maintain insightful dashboards and reports to visualize data trends and inform decision-making processes.

Oversee process of third-party data collectors agreements, terms of references and budgetary reviews with team lead.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

 At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in humanitarian or development sectors.

Experience in managing data for Primary Data Collection activities and other humanitarian data initiatives.

Proven track record of developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in a humanitarian context.

Experienced with research design aspects such as data collection methods, instrumentation and measurement, data analysis methods, research design types etc.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 Advanced skills in statistical analysis and data visualization tools.

 Proficient in data cleaning, management, and analysis software, such as R or Python.

Strong knowledge on PowerBI.

 Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

 Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines.

 Knowledge of humanitarian data standards and ethical considerations in data handling.
