job summary
 

A Community mobilizer/ project supervisor/mentor works with midwives as a mentor. It is responsible for maintaining a close relationship with the communities to facilitate a smooth program and project implementation. Facilitate awareness on health creation measures facilitate responses to the community and develop contact and professional relationships with community elders, religious leaders, and the Community Development Councils. She will ensure the smooth running of assigned project activities in the targeted areas and report to the project manager. She will represent the organization as an intermediary with the committees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To provide reproductive health services to the FHH catchment area for the targeted population in Samangan province.
  • Responsible for antenatal post-natal care services for clients.
  • Responsible for complicated and obstructed deliveries
  • Provide health education to maternal and newborn care to the clients.
  • Prepare and make HMIS and other medical reports.
  • To develop short-term implementation plans (weekly and monthly) according to the project work plan
  • To provide and submit valid activity data of the project on a weekly and monthly basis to prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
  • To provide medicine and medical supply requests to line managers according to the needs of the FHH project.
  • To participate and replicate training with other FHH staff.
  • Ensure that the project activities are evident to the members of the community.
  • Mobilize the beneficiaries to participate in the project according to the agreement made with them.
  • Identify and train the community shura members, religious leaders school teachers, and other community influencers on basic concepts.
  • Conduct health Awareness sessions in the community with the cooperation of community elders and community influencers.
  • Propose solutions to the problems encountered.
  • Organize workshops and meetings when necessary.
  • Monitor the progress of the project at the community level
  • Write a Monthly and weekly activity report

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Diploma of midwifery CME/IHS/Privet /Nurse CHNE/CME/Privet and have experience in the relevant field of community mobilization

Experience:               At least 2 years of relevant experience      

Others     

Good knowledge of community dynamics, power structures, and socio-cultural in the conflict-torn areas

Good coordination, networking, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and diplomacy.

Good communication and liaison skills with the community and all staff.

Good capacity and analysis of conflict management to provide advice to the population.

Written and spoken Dari, Pashto and English are a plus.

To be able to propose solutions to the identified needs.

Flexibility is requested regarding the working hours and the live-in community after the working hours.

Dynamic to motivate the team

Preferences will be given to residents.
