Bakhtar University (BU) is one of Afghanistan’s oldest and most prestigious privately held institutions. It was established in 2005 from a small beginning at Kabul Polytechnic University, through its current location at Kart-e-Char. Bakhtar University is now recognized as being an integral part of the economy in the academic of Afghanistan. BU offers a variety of specialists in postgraduate and undergraduate in the areas of Business, Finance and Information Technology, Law, Political Science, Engineering, and Journalism which are directly linked to the human resource needs of Afghanistan.

Responsibilities:

1. Continuous planning for the improvement of the faculty.
2. The Dean will be the representative of the Engineering faculty in the university.
3. The Dean will be responsible for all the meetings and for the growth of the faculty.
4. The Dean will be responsible to implement the policies, rules and regulations assign by Vice Chancellor Academics in the faculty.
5. Supervision of administration and financial issues of the faculty.
6. Preparing the progress reports of the faculty and reporting all of them to Vice Chancellor Academics.
7. Collecting the complains and suggestions and solving the problems within the faculty.
8. Motivating teachers to perform well.
9. Cooperating with other departments and bringing innovation in all faculty with the approval of Vice Chancellor Academics.
10. Supervise recruiting, staffing, training, and performance appraisals for faculty and staff members of the Computer science faculty.
11. Ensures compliance with concerning faculty and credentials in all BCE programs. 
12. Helps recruit BCE students with Admissions office.
13. Completes Annual Reports for the faculty.
14. Completes and monitor Academic Assessment and Strategic Planning documents.
15. Exercise general supervision over the work and conduct, of faculty and staff in advising students of the BCE.
16. The Dean shall direct the work of the faculty and administrative staff in the faculty.
17. Supervise the curriculum, courses outline, and methods of instruction and work with faculty for improvement.
18.  Implement the purposes of the faculty consistent with those of the University and the policies of the management.
19. Arranging meeting with Vice Chancellor Academics regarding the updated curriculum base on the market demand.
20. Regressive and continuous planning for the improvement of the faculty.
21. Will take classes as well.
22. Any other task assign by Vice Chancellor Academics and Chancellor.

• Demonstrated ability to resolve problems both independently and collaboratively
• Demonstrated ability to identify priorities and work to tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent language proficiency in Dari, Pashto, and English
• 3 -5 years of relevant experience in this position.
• Familiar with updated technology.
