Obstetrician &Gynecologist (OBGYN Doctor)

The Obstetrician & Gynecologist (OBGYN Doctor) will provide high-quality, comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients at the hospital. The position is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients, including antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and gynecological services.

The doctor will manage routine and high-risk pregnancies, normal and complicated deliveries, obstetric and gynecological emergencies, and other conditions within the scope of practice. The position also requires close collaboration with nurses, midwives, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

·       Provide outpatient and inpatient obstetric and gynecological consultations.

·       Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.

·       Conduct and manage normal and complicated deliveries.

·       Assess and manage high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies.

·       Diagnose and treat a wide range of gynecological conditions.

·       Perform relevant obstetric and gynecological procedures within the scope of professional practice.

·       Provide family planning, contraception, and reproductive health counseling.

·       Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records.

·       Ensure appropriate referral, continuity of care, and follow-up when required.

·       Collaborate effectively with nurses, midwives, anesthetists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals.

·       Participate in emergency and on-call duties as assigned.

·       Adhere to hospital clinical protocols, infection-prevention and control standards, and patient-safety procedures.

·       Participate in clinical meetings, staff training, continuing professional development, and quality-improvement activities.

·       Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Medical Director and Hospital Manager.

·       Medical degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.

·       Specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

·       Valid professional medical license/registration.

·       Minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

·       Demonstrated experience in managing normal and complicated deliveries and obstetric emergencies.

·       Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

·       Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, patient safety, and patient-centered care.
