Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Description

Collect, consolidate, and verify project data from field and technical teams. Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and final project reports in accordance with CHA and UNHCR requirements. Prepare and regularly update the reports, progress reports, activity trackers, and other reporting formats. Monitor project achievements against approved targets, indicators, workplans, and timelines. Ensure that all reported data is accurate, complete, consistent, and supported by appropriate documentation. Analyze project data and prepare clear tables, charts, summaries, and other information for management and donor reporting. Closely follow up with field and technical teams to ensure timely submission of required information and supporting documents. Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and reporting challenges and coordinate with relevant teams to address them. Prepare narrative reports highlighting achievements, progress, challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations. Maintain an organized and up-to-date electronic and physical filing system for project reports and supporting documents. Support monitoring missions, donor visits, assessments, audits, and other reporting-related requirements. Conduct field visits to western region provinces, to verify reported activities and achievements. Coordinate closely with technical teams to ensure that reporting reflects the progress of all livelihood components. Preparation of success stories, case studies, lessons learned, and best practices. Ensure confidentiality and responsible management of project and beneficiary information. Perform other relevant duties assigned by the organization.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Information Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, (Master’s degree strongly preferred). 4 years of practical experience in reporting, information management, M&E, data management, or a similar position. Candidates with strong practical reporting experience, excellent analytical skills, and proven ability to prepare high-quality donor reports will be given preference. Proven experience in preparing narrative reports, project progress reports, and other donor reporting formats. Experience working with NGO/INGO or UN-funded projects is highly desirable. Experience with UNHCR-funded projects and donor reporting requirements will be an advantage. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, data analysis, PivotTables, charts, and data presentation. Experience with databases, digital data-collection tools, or information-management systems is an advantage. Strong data analysis, report-writing, and information-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies. Strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight reporting deadlines. Fluency in Dari, Pashto; strong written and spoken English is highly desirable. Willingness and ability to travel to project locations.
