Mudasir Ashna and Bakhtar Union Mining & Processing Company is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Mining Extraction Engineer to lead and oversee mining extraction operations in Baghlan Province. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing mining activities while ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations in accordance with national and international mining standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and supervise daily mining extraction operations.
• Develop short-term and long-term mine plans to maximize productivity and resource recovery.
• Design and optimize mining methods, extraction sequences, and production schedules.
• Monitor production performance and ensure achievement of operational targets.
• Ensure compliance with mining laws, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Conduct technical evaluations, mine inspections, and operational risk assessments.
• Coordinate closely with geology, processing, maintenance, surveying, and HSE departments.
• Analyze production data and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Supervise and mentor mining engineers, supervisors, and technical staff.
• Prepare technical reports, production forecasts, feasibility studies, and management presentations.
• Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of mining equipment and machinery.
• Participate in mine planning, resource estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Mining Extraction Engineering, or a closely related field (Required).
• Master's Degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline will be given preference.
• Minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience in mining extraction, mine planning, and mining operations.
• Demonstrated experience in open-pit and/or underground mining operations.
• Strong knowledge of mine planning, drilling and blasting, production scheduling, mine safety, and extraction techniques.
• Excellent understanding of mining legislation, occupational health and safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
• Proficiency in Surpac, MineSched, Datamine, Vulcan, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Experience with other mining software will be considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and present engineering recommendations.
• Ability to work under pressure and in remote project locations.
