Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Field Coordinator will lead day-to-day implementation and operational coordination of project activities across all Psychosocial Counselling Centers.

The position will ensure timely implementation, quality service delivery, supervision of field teams, monitoring of indicators, coordination with stakeholders, and compliance with donor and organizational standards.

The Field Coordinator will act as the operational focal point between field teams and project management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Program Coordination and Implementation

• Coordinate implementation of project activities across all centers.
• Develop and monitor implementation schedules.
• Ensure timely achievement of targets and deliverables.
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits.
• Support operational planning and problem solving.

B. Team Supervision and Support

• Supervise center-based staff and volunteers.
• Monitor attendance and service delivery quality.
• Support onboarding and orientation of staff.
• Facilitate regular coordination meetings.

C. Monitoring, Reporting and Quality Assurance

• Track project progress against indicators.
• Review service records and field reports.
• Support quality improvement measures.
• Consolidate implementation updates.

D. Stakeholder Engagement and Referral Coordination

• Coordinate with local authorities and service providers.
• Strengthen referral pathways.
• Support communication with health facilities and relevant actors.
• Participate in coordination meetings as assigned.

E. Logistics and Operational Support

• Coordinate operational requirements for center activities.
• Support supply tracking and utilization.
• Ensure availability of required materials and resources.
• Report operational risks and challenges.

F. Safeguarding, Compliance and Accountability

• Promote safeguarding and survivor-centered service approaches.
• Monitor compliance with organizational procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality and ethical practices.
• Support accountability mechanisms and complaint handling.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Medicine, Psychology, Social Work, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant field coordination experience.
• Experience implementing NGO or humanitarian projects.
• Experience supervising teams and coordinating activities.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in related discipline.
• Experience with UN-funded program
• Experience in MHPSS, health, SRHR, protection, or community program
• Familiarity with referral systems and field monitoring.

LANGUAGES

• Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto.
• Good working knowledge of English preferred.
