MIS Officer (Call for CVs)

Vision Development Organization (VDO), founded in 2015 by Afghan women leaders, is a national, women-led NGO dedicated to advancing the dignity, resilience, and leadership of women, youth, and marginalized communities. Despite Afghanistan’s complex humanitarian and governance challenges, VDO has grown into a trusted, principled, and adaptive organization, delivering programs in protection, education, livelihoods, social inclusion, and community development across multiple provinces. Anchored in integrity, accountability, and operational excellence, VDO upholds strong governance, safeguarding, and compliance standards while championing women’s leadership and equitable, high-quality service delivery.

• Manage and maintain VDO’s Management Information System and project-level databases. Support digital data collection, beneficiary registration systems, indicator tracking platforms, reporting databases, and secure data storage systems.
• Design and update data entry forms, Kobo/ODK tools, Excel trackers, dashboards, and reporting templates.
• Ensure data is accurate, complete, properly coded, and regularly backed up.
• Provide technical support to field teams on digital data collection, mobile applications, database use, and troubleshooting. 
• Coordinate with MEAL, IT, program, and data protection teams to ensure secure and efficient information management. Generate routine MIS reports, beneficiary statistics, activity progress summaries, and donor-required datasets.
• Maintain access controls, user permissions, data-sharing logs, and documentation of system changes.
• Ensure MIS systems support accountability, safeguarding, inclusion, and project reporting requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, IT, Statistics, Data Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of MIS or database management experience.
• Strong skills in Kobo/ODK, Excel, Power BI, Access, SQL, or other database systems.
• Knowledge of data protection and secure information management.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• English excellent, Dari and Pashtu fluent.
