- Oversee exploration, mine development, extraction, processing, and production activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, budgets, schedules, and technical standards.
- Conduct regular field visits to mining and project sites across Afghanistan to monitor performance, ensure compliance, identify challenges, and provide technical and managerial support.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to Mining Engineers, Geologists, Surveyors, Site Supervisors, contractors, and other project personnel.
- Review mine plans, feasibility studies, geological assessments, production reports, and technical documentation and recommend improvements.
- Monitor operational performance, production targets, resource utilization, equipment efficiency, and project progress to ensure achievement of objectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, technical, financial, environmental, safety, security, and reputational risks.
- Support budget preparation, cost control, resource planning, and initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and profitability.
- Maximize production output, sales opportunities, revenue generation, and overall profitability while maintaining quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Ensure compliance with mining licenses, permits, concession agreements, labor laws, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, government authorities, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation.
- Ensure the implementation of Environment, Health, Safety, Security, and Social Responsibility (EHSS) standards across all operations.
- Lead and support inspections, audits, compliance reviews, and due diligence activities.
- Prepare and submit technical, operational, financial, environmental, and management reports as required.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, staff development, performance management, and capacity-building initiatives.
- Identify and pursue new mining, exploration, investment, and business development opportunities aligned with the Company's strategic objectives.
- Monitor tenders, mining concessions, donor-funded projects, and commercial opportunities and coordinate the preparation of proposals, bids, EOIs, and business cases.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, donors, government entities, development partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct follow-up on submitted proposals, business opportunities, negotiations, and partnership initiatives to secure new projects and contracts.
- Support contract negotiations, partnership agreements, and commercial arrangements to protect and advance the Company's interests.
- Contribute to strategies aimed at expanding operations, increasing market share, attracting investment, and improving revenue generation.
- Represent the Program Manager in meetings, negotiations, stakeholder engagements, and official functions when delegated.
- Act on behalf of the Program Manager during periods of absence and ensure continuity of operations.
- Safeguard company assets, resources, equipment, and confidential information.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Program Manager or Senior Management.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in mining operations, exploration, mine development, or project management, including at least 4 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of mining operations, including exploration, mine development, extraction, processing, and production.
- Good understanding of Afghanistan’s Mining Law, licensing procedures, and environmental, labor, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in project planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Experience in business development, proposal preparation, tender submissions, and stakeholder engagement is an advantage.
- Experience working with government authorities, contractors, consultants, investors, clients, and local communities.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of GIS and project management software is an advantage.
- Fluency in Dari and Pashto; working knowledge of English is required.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to safety and compliance.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to mining and project sites across Afghanistan.
