Solar Engineer

Safi Engineering LTD is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Solar Engineer to join our expanding energy division. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in solar energy systems as well as hands-on experience in power generators and related industrial power systems. This role is essential for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing solar and generator-based energy solutions for commercial and industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and supervise installation of solar PV systems, hybrid power systems, and backup generator integration projects
• Conduct site assessments, technical evaluations, load analysis, and system sizing for solar and generator applications
• Oversee commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of solar systems and diesel generators
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, engineering codes, and project specifications
• Coordinate with project managers, technical teams, and clients to deliver turnkey power solutions
• Provide technical support for power generators, electrical systems, and renewable energy solutions
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, BOQs, and project proposals
• Support after-sales services and operational improvements for installed systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of proven professional experience in:
  • Solar energy system design and implementation
  • Power generators (diesel) installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Industrial power systems and energy solutions
• Strong understanding of solar PV design software, electrical drawings, and power system integration
• Experience working in generator and solar industries is highly preferred
• Knowledge of hybrid systems, ATS/AVR, transformers, and power distribution systems is an advantage
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in field-based technical environments

Preferred Skills

• Experience with commercial/industrial-scale solar projects
• Familiarity with Perkins generators or similar industrial generator systems
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
• Fluency in English is an advantage
