Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Solar Repairing Trainer to deliver practical and theoretical training to students in the field of solar energy systems. The trainer will guide learners through the installation, maintenance, fault detection, and repair of solar PV systems, preparing them for careers in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training sessions on solar panel installation, maintenance, and repair (on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid systems).
  • Teach both theoretical concepts and hands-on practical skills, including:
    • Photovoltaic (PV) system components (panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers)
    • System design basics
    • Installation procedures and safety protocols
    • Troubleshooting and repair of solar systems
  • Provide real-life examples and field exposure (if possible).
  • Create lesson plans, training materials, and practical demos.
  • Monitor learner progress and conduct assessments.
  • Stay updated with the latest solar technologies and market trends.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during training.
  • Support learners with career advice and practical guidance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in solar system installation, repair, or maintenance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical, Renewable Energy, or Engineering) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV technology, basic system design, and fault diagnosis.
  • Good knowledge of tools, equipment, and electrical safety practices in solar work.
  • Prior experience in training, facilitation, or teaching is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse learners of varying skill levels.
  • Diploma, ITI, or certification in Renewable Energy / Solar Technology is an asset.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong instructional skills, with patience and clarity in delivering training.
  • Passion for capacity building and knowledge sharing.
  • Familiarity with digital learning tools and smart classroom aids (an advantage).
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, presentations, reporting).

  • Dari: Fluent
  • Pashto: Fluent
  • English: Professional working proficiency (preferred)
