Afghan Peace Builders Humanitarian Organization APBHO has emerged as a non-governmental, non-political, not-for-profit organization in April 2019 with its long experience as a team (Youth Council) advocating for the rights of communities especially children and women affected by conflicts, and humanitarian crisis in fragile settings.
Most of APBHO’s peacebuilding efforts focus on community-based conflict resolution and environmental peace-building on grass-root level. APBHO aims to shift repressive gender norms and equip citizens with the skills to resolve any type of differences and conflicts non-violently.

Job Description
Job Summary
The Master Trainer (Agriculture) will play a key role in strengthening the capacity of farmers by designing and delivering high-quality training programs under the Livelihood and Financial Inclusion Project. The position focuses on improving agricultural productivity, reducing post-harvest losses, and enhancing market linkages through the promotion of climate-resilient practices, disease prevention, and improved harvesting, storage, and packaging techniques.
The Master Trainer will ensure effective knowledge transfer, support field-level implementation, and promote the adoption of best agricultural practices at the community level.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop standardized training curricula and materials in line with project objectives and donor requirements.
- Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions for project staff and community facilitators.
- Deliver practical, field-based training to farmers on improved and climate-smart agricultural practices.
- Provide technical guidance on crop disease and pest prevention and management.
- Train farmers on safe harvesting techniques and post-harvest handling and storage.
- Support farmers in product grading, packaging, and market preparation.
- Establish and oversee demonstration plots and farmer field schools.
- Provide on-site coaching, mentoring, and continuous technical support to beneficiaries.
- Conduct follow-up visits and refresher training sessions to ensure knowledge retention and application.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and the adoption of improved practices.
- Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories from the field.
- Coordinate with project teams, government stakeholders, and other relevant partners.
- Prepare and submit timely progress, training, and technical reports.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience in agricultural training and farmer capacity building.
• Experience in donor-funded projects is highly desirable.
Competencies
• Strong facilitation and training skills.
• Practical knowledge of local agricultural systems.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; working knowledge of English is an asset.
• Ability to travel extensively to field locations.
