Job Description
Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator in Herat, the Reproductive Health (RH) Officer will bear the overall responsibility for the oversight and monitoring of Mobile Health Teams (MHTs), Basic Health Centers (BHCs) and border Health Facilities (HFs) within Herat Province.
Conducting monthly supervisory visits to MHT service delivery points located in villages, BHC and BEmNOC centers
Providing on-the-job and technical support to female MDs, midwives, and other female staff working in MHT and BHCs.
Monitoring adherence to the RH program policies in accordance with the standards and requirements set by MoPH. Additionally,
Providing constructive feedback and performance appraisal to the RH team members under direct supervision.
Supporting the project coordinator in data collection from the field, analysis and reporting
Identification of knowledge and skills gaps among MHT and BHC personnel regarding RH will be conducted, followed by the implementation of capacity-building initiatives as required.
In instances of leave or vacancy, the RH officer will serve as an interim replacement for the Female MD at the BHC's border points, ensuring continuity of services
Job Requirements
Female Medical Doctor with at least 2 years’ experience in reproductive health as an officer/supervisor with national or international NGO
Proficiency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.
Fluency in written and spoken local language;
Having skills in computer applications such as Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Word.
Having strong communication skills with the ability to present project activities to MoPH officials and donors
Ability and willingness to travel to rural locations;
Knowledge of local environments;
The applicant should have a Mahram to accompany her during the field visit
