Job Description
Under the supervision of the Project Manager in Kunar, the Reproductive Health (RH) Supervisor will be responsible for supervision of Family Health Houses (FHHs), Mobile Health Teams (MHTs), and Basic Health Centers (BHCs) in Kunar Province.
Conducting monthly supervision visits to the FHHs, service delivery points of the MHTs in villages, and BHCs.
Providing on-the-job training to female MDs, as well as midwives from the FHHs and MHTs.
Ensuring that the RH program policies are adhered to in accordance with the standards and requirements set by the MoPH.
Identify gaps in the RH knowledge and skills of MHT, FHH and BHC staff, implementing relevant capacity-building activities to address these deficiencies.
Ensuring that all midwives involved with the FHHs, MHTs and BHCs comply with BPHS guidelines concerning RH, and utilize appropriate IEC materials effectively.
Acting as an interim replacement for the BHC female MD during her absence or in the event that the position is vacant.
Job Requirements
Female Medical Doctor with at least 2 years’ experience in reproductive health as an officer/supervisor with national or international NGO
Fluency in written and spoken local language and basic English;
Having skills in computer applications such as Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Word.
Having good communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel to rural locations;
Knowledge of local environments;
The applicant should have a Mahram to accompany her during the field visit
