About Youth’s Assembly for Afghanistan Rehabilitation (YAAR):

The Youth’s Assembly for Afghanistan Rehabilitation (YAAR) is a national, non-governmental, and non-profit organization founded in 1994, register no. 157, to deliver humanitarian assistance and support Afghanistan’s long-term recovery. Over the last three decades, YAAR has grown into a capable and community-focused organization with experience working in more than 17 provinces  and implemented multisectoral projects in partnership with UN agencies, INGOs, embassies, and local institutions

Job Descriptions:

Works under the responsibility of Deputy Technical Manager in the provincial office Ghazni. The primary purpose of the position is to assist in the implementation, supervision, and monitoring of Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) activities at health facilities and community level, ensuring vaccine supply, cold chain maintenance, and coverage in line with BPHS and MoPH standards.

  • To assist the EPI Supervisor in preparing micro plans for routine immunization, National Immunization Days (NIDs), and campaigns (e.g., measles, polio).
  • To supervise vaccinators and health facility EPI activities according to monthly plans and provide on-the-job training and coaching.
  • To filled Acasus checklist from the HFs. 
  • To ensure regular supply of vaccines and EPI supplies to health facilities ( SC, BHC, CHC, DH and PH) and monitor cold chain equipment functionality.
  • To promote community awareness and mobilization for immunization through health shuras and outreach sessions.
  • To identify, solve, or refer EPI-related problems (e.g., stock shortages, defaulters) with related departments as required.
  • To improve referral and defaulter tracking systems for immunization drop-outs from community to facility levels.
  • To train and support health facility staff and vaccinators in accordance with national EPI guidelines and MoPH protocols.
  • To participate actively in EPI-related workshops, coordination meetings, and forums at provincial or national level.
  • To evaluate EPI staff training needs and look for opportunities for building their capacity at facility or provincial level.
  • To conduct monthly meetings with vaccinators or focal points to share information, problems, needs, and find possible solutions.
  • To supervise EPI services in health facilities and outreach sites based on BPHS standards as a member of the YAAR supervision team.
  • To analyze EPI data (coverage, drop-out rates, stock reports) and assist in preparing monthly reports of activities.
  • To carry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned by your supervisor.
  • Perform any other required project-related tasks.

Job Requirements:

  1. 1. At least 2–5 years of proven experience in the field (EPI program, immunization activities, or BPHS-related projects preferred).
  2. 2. MD, Nurse, Midwife degree, or relevant health qualification (Public Health or Midlevel accepted).
  3. 3. Strong communication skills; fluent in English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills; proficient computing skills – word processing, spreadsheet design and presentations.
