As another landmark development of the renowned Gulbahar Investment, Gulbahar towers is set to become the exciting residential apartment buildings. • One of Gulbahar Investment`s new project is Gulbahar Plaza which is under construction. The architectural and structural design and construction supervision of Gulbahar Plaza as a new commercial residential complex at the Airport Main Road in Microyan Destrict, in Kabul-Afghanistan

1. Purpose of the Position

The Lift / Elevator & Escalator Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of all lift, elevator, and escalator systems through proper installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair.

2. Key Duties and Responsibilities

                •             Carry out routine maintenance and preventive servicing of elevators, lifts, and escalators

                •             Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults

                •             Ensure safe and proper functioning of electrical stairs (escalators)

                •             Conduct regular safety inspections and testing

                •             Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance calls

                •             Replace, adjust, or repair defective components and systems

                •             Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies

                •             Maintain accurate maintenance logs and technical reports

                •             Coordinate with suppliers and contractors when required

3. Qualifications and Experience

                •             Technical diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field

                •             Minimum of [5] years proven experience in elevator and escalator maintenance

                •             Strong knowledge of elevator control systems, motors, drives, and safety devices

                •             Hands-on experience in escalator electrical and mechanical repair

                •             Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals

4. Reporting and Supervision

The Mining Engineer will report directly to the Mechanical Engineer and will work in close coordination with Relevant Departments

5. Duration 

This is a full-time position based at Gulbahar Investment-Kabul Province-, with a 12-month contract and the potential for extension based on performance and project requirements. 

6. Skills and Competencies

                •             Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

                •             Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems

                •             Ability to work independently and under pressure

                •             Attention to detail and strong safety awareness

                •             Good communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications and Experience
