The Protection Case Management Supervisor under the direct supervisor of project officer will leads, mentors, and oversees the implementation of protection case management services to vulnerable individuals and groups (including children, GBV survivors, and people with specific needs). The role ensures quality, accountability, compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adherence to humanitarian protection principles in all case management activities. the CP Case management supervisor will be supervising the implementation of the Case Management activities in the various communities/Districts. She/he will ensure the provision of quality mentoring, coaching, and supervision of social workers/caseworkers which will translate to better and quality case management delivery, supervise and participate in case conferences and case reviews, coordinate with relevant stakeholders involved in case management. The Case Management Supervisor will ensure that case management activities are consistent with Tdh’s programming principles and approaches as well as with Global child protection standards & principles, draw on relevant best practices and lessons learned, to enable children to attain their rights and are compliant with donor regulations
Main responsibilities:
Key task and Responsibilities:
1. Supervision & Quality Assurance
- Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and mentoring to social worker/case workers and protection staff.
- Review case files, documentation, assessments, and case plans to ensure compliance with organizational and inter-agency case management standards.
- Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to improve technical skills and service quality.
- Monitor case follow-up and ensure timely progression of each case according to needs and action plans.
- Provide support on and keep up to date, a map of existing services to which children and families can be referred to.
- Link Social workers with service providers and support effective collaboration.
- Supervise and support the social workers in family visits if necessary
2. System Management & Standards
- Oversee the functionality of the case management system, ensuring it adheres to SOPs, donor requirements, and humanitarian standards.
- Support development and adaptation of tools, guidance, and methodologies for protection case management.
- Promote a survivor-centered and rights-based approach in all activities.
- Support the implementation of the Inter-Agency Child Protection Information Management System
3. Capacity Building & Training
- Identify capacity gaps and organize training sessions on case management, protection principles, confidentiality, psychosocial support, referral pathways, and data protection.
- Facilitate on-the-job coaching and technical support for social workers/case workers.
4. Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
- Ensure accurate record keeping and documentation of cases, including case plans, updates, referral tracking, and closures.
- Compile regular reports, summaries, trends, gaps, and protection concerns for program managers and donors.
- Contribute to data analysis and program monitoring related to protection indicators.
5. Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal teams (Protection, MEAL, GBV, Child Protection) and external actors (UN clusters, government bodies, community leaders).
- Represent the organization in protection coordination forums and working groups as delegated.
- Strengthen referral networks with service providers (health, legal aid, psychosocial support, livelihoods, etc.).
- Work with the child protection entire team to ensure close links between case management and our work with community-based child protection mechanisms.
6. Risk Management & Safety
- Support staff to ensure security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Monitor field safety and protection risks and report incidents to relevant management.
Advocacy and Networking
- Represent the organization in the local case management Interagency Coordination meetings, liaise with relevant Government line agencies, Provicial CPAN , District CPAN , UN agencies, and I/NGOs working in the field of operation.
- Contribute to strengthening the capacity of Civil Society Organisations and Institutions in line with the organization’s policies and strategies.
- Liaise with other humanitarian actors in project locations to jointly advocate on child protection issues
Reporting
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly reports on case management activities
- Prepare and submit field visit or monitoring reports
- Prepare training reports for both social workers & Community based volunteers including pre and post-test analysis
- Prepare success stories on case management activities with good quality pictures
- Contribute in documenting the response, experience and lessons learned on child protection in emergencies programming.
- Provide input to the development of the child protecton intervention
Capacity Building
- Identify training needs, develop and roll-out capacity building plan on child protection case management to Tdh Staff and community based volunteers to carry out quality child protection programming.
- Identify learning and training opportunities for Tdh in Nangarhar on child protection
Child Protection
- Child Protection:Use observation skills to detect any behavioral changes or specific vulnerability in children that may be reason for concern and share these observations with immediate supervisor and social workers team at joint weekly staff meetings to determine appropriate responses.
- Insure that all child protection related activities are in line with child protection minimum relevant standards, and enhance program / activities based on CPMS .

- Global Code of Conduct ( GCC ) Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP), Policy on the Protection from sexual exploitation and Abuse ( PSEA ) , Directive on staff misconduct at workplace and GBV, Operational Risk Management:Undertake to adhere to the Terre des hommes safeguarding policy and the principles connected to children's rights
- Undertake to ensure the best possible practical implementation of the safeguarding policy (Global Code of conduct ) and the management of operational risks in his/her area of intervention and within his/her team.
