Responsibilities:

The Field Monitor will be responsible for  implementation and monitoring of emergency humanitarian food and Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) assistance programs. The incumbent will conduct field visits to ensure the effective distribution and utilization of food supplies and cash transfers, ensuring that the assistance reaches the intended beneficiaries and adheres to humanitarian standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor the distribution of food commodities and cash transfers in the distribution side.
  • Ensure the compliance of all activities with the organization's policies, donor requirements, and international standards.
  • Gather detailed reports and feedback from beneficiaries on the distribution process and the effectiveness of the assistance provided.
  • Assess the needs and vulnerabilities of beneficiaries to recommend adjustments in the assistance programs.
  • Work closely with the M&E Officer and other team members to plan and execute field activities.
  • smooth implementation.
  • Participate in CFAC meetings and provide updates on the progress of field activities.
  • Use various tools and methodologies to collect data from the field.
  • Compile and analyze monitoring data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and submit timely field reports and progress updates.
  • Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Set up and manage feedback mechanisms for beneficiaries to report issues or provide suggestions.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in all aspects of the field operations.

Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Humanitarian Aid, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of field monitoring experience in emergency humanitarian programs, particularly in food and cash-based assistance.
    • Previous experience working in challenging and remote environments is an asset.
    • Strong understanding of humanitarian principles and standards.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in data collection tools and methodologies.
    • Ability to write clear and concise reports.
    • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
    • Fluency in local languages and English is highly desirable.
