LAMPO (Livelihood Advancement and Management Promotion Organization) is a people at risk -focused, non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit organization based in Kabul, Afghanistan. LAMPO is dedicated to empowering women and vulnerable populations by promoting sustainable livelihoods, vocational skills, and food processing techniques. The organization works to enhance economic resilience, community development through its programs in tailoring, agriculture, and enterprise development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management
Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and assist in budget planning, revision, and forecasting for LAMPO operations.
Ensure all financial transactions are properly authorized, recorded, filed, and supported with complete documentation in line with LAMPO financial policies.
Assist with working advance settlements on a monthly/quarterly basis in coordination with partner organizations.
Verify completeness and accuracy of supporting documents submitted for settlements, ensuring compliance with agreements and technical guidelines.
Support programme staff with travel expense reimbursement and working advance settlements.
Assist programme and operations teams with preparing and submitting financial requisitions.
Support line management in preparing budget monitoring reports and financial analysis for all project pledges, including accrual reporting.
Collect and organize financial data to prepare Budget versus Actual (BvA) analysis for LAMPO operational budgets.
2. Administration
Prepare and submit timely, accurate, and reliable administrative and financial reports, statements, and updates.
Provide administrative and technical support to programme and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Coordinate visa processing, documentation, and related arrangements for staff, delegates, consultants, and visitors in collaboration with relevant authorities.
Manage all travel arrangements including flight bookings, ticket purchases, hotel/accommodation reservations, and payment processing.
Ensure proper reception and logistical arrangements for visitors, consultants, and staff, including airport pick-up and drop-off coordination.
3. Filing System & Record-Keeping Management
Establish and maintain a standardized filing system (soft and hard) across all programmes and operations.
Develop and implement a regular review process for filing systems on a monthly or quarterly basis to ensure completeness and compliance.
Maintain updated records of all administrative documents, including internal and external correspondence.
Ensure accurate and organized record-keeping of all administrative and operational documentation.
Facilitate clear, timely, and effective communication, knowledge sharing, and information exchange within LAMPO and with partner organizations.
4. Other Duties
Perform any other finance or administration-related tasks assigned by line management to support LAMPO’s operations and organizational objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting, preferably with NGOs.
Strongly able to handle remote work and familiar with home based work
Experience in planning and reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
Knowledge of Afghan tax laws and familiarity with donor compliance standards (e.g., UN, USAID, EU).
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.
Fluency in Pashto and Dari, with working knowledge of English.
LAMPO (Livelihood Advancement and Management Promotion Organization) is seeking a qualified and motivated Finance Officer to support its financial operations. The Finance Officer will be responsible for maintaining financial systems, ensuring compliance with national laws and donor regulations, and providing timely financial reports. This position plays a key role in ensuring financial transparency and the smooth operation of LAMPO's community -focused livelihood programs.
