Afghan Women Association for Rehabilitation and Development (AWARD) is an Afghan NonGovernmental, Non-Political and not for Profit Organization dedicated to the Social, Civic and Economic integration of Afghan Women, Youths, Person with Disabilities and other vulnerable and marginalized population in Afghanistan. The Organization established in 1995 with the primary aim to provide basic humanitarian assistance to Internally Displaced People (IDPs), those who were imposed to leave their homes in result of internal war. After its formal registration at Oct 13,2005 with the Ministry of Economy under license No. 97 , AWARD extend its scope of work and include other rehabilitative and developmental activities at its scope such as Awareness Raising at the aspects of gender, disability and legal rights, advocacy, peace culture inspiration, conflict resolution trainings, literacy and numeracy, civic education, hygiene and health education, reintegration of returnees and IDPs at their communities, Shelter for the aim of better help the depressed Afghan community from their legal, social and economic prospect.

Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

The HR Officer is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department in all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, performance management, training, and compliance with labor laws. The role ensures smooth HR operations and supports the organization in maintaining a productive, engaged, and compliant workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Assist in drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, and shortlisting candidates.
  • Coordinate interviews and facilitate the recruitment process.
  • Conduct onboarding for new employees, including documentation, induction, and orientation.

2. Employee Records & HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Prepare HR reports, such as headcount, leave, and attendance reports.
  • Assist with contract management and renewals.

3. Payroll & Benefits Administration:

  • Support payroll processing in coordination with the finance department.
  • Maintain leave records, benefits enrollment, and employee allowances.

4. Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
  • Support conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and training programs.

5. Performance Management & Training:

  • Assist in monitoring employee performance appraisals and feedback processes.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives.

6. Compliance & Policy Implementation:

  • Ensure HR policies comply with local labor laws and organizational standards.
  • Assist the HR Manager in updating policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR information.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in BBA, or any related field.
  • 4 years of specific experience in HR.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, payroll systems, and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office/MIS.
