ERIELL KAM is a joint Afghan–Uzbek oil and gas company, dedicated to advancing Afghanistan’s hydrocarbons sector through the technical excellence of ERIELL Management (Uzbekistan), the operational leadership of Kam Energy (Afghanistan), and the resource expertise of Uzbekneftegaz (UNG).

The role requires proven experience in managing large commercial contracts in the energy, construction, mining, or infrastructure sectors. Strong engagement with Afghan government authorities (e.g., MoMP, MoF, MoJ) and familiarity with international projects, regulatory negotiations, and oil & gas agreements (such as PSC/PSA, EPC, or JOA) are highly valued. Experience in handling large commercial contracts (energy, construction, mining, infrastructure) is mandatory.
Experience in interacting with Afghan government authorities (MoMP, MoJ, MoF, etc.) is a significant advantage.
Experience with PSC/PSA, EPC, JOA or other standard oil and gas contracts is desirable.
Experience in international projects with foreign partners is an advantage.
Experience representing company interests in negotiations and document approvals with Afghan regulators is an advantage.
Education:
Higher legal education (Bachelor / LL.B or Master / LL.M) in Law, obtained from an accredited university in Afghanistan or abroad.
Additional certificates/courses in commercial law, international private law, contract law, oil and gas legislation or corporate governance are welcome
Work Experience:
At least 3 years of practical legal experience in commercial organizations, international projects or law firms.
Key Personal & Technical Skills
• Deep knowledge of Afghan legislation (commercial, mining, tax, labor, investment).
• Confident drafting and analysis of contracts, legal opinions memorandums, official letters in English and Dari/Pashto.
• Skills in due diligence, risk analysis and preparation of compliance reports.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), preferably with electronic document management systems.
• Experience with Incoterms, FIDIC, AIPN is a plus.
Personal Qualities:
• High professional ethics and confidentiality compliance.
• Accuracy, systematic approach, attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to build relationships with government bodies and partners.
• Ability to work independently and in a multicultural team.
• Willingness to travel periodically within Afghanistan and, if necessary, abroad.
Languages:
• Dari and/or Pashto fluent (spoken and written) mandatory.
• English at least Intermediate (B1–B2), confident business writing and negotiations.
• Russian language will be a significant advantage.
