Job Description:

1. Background

The Maternal and Child Benefit Program (MCBP), the Nutrition-Sensitive Livelihoods (NSL) component, aims to enhance the food security, nutrition, and resilience of vulnerable households in selected districts. The NSL component focuses on building the practical and entrepreneurial capacities of targeted beneficiaries so they can engage in income-generating and nutrition-improving activities that contribute to sustainable household wellbeing.

2. Purpose of the Position

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure accurate beneficiary verification and facilitate smooth, transparent, and inclusive distribution of cash and food assistance, while supporting community mobilization and engagement in line with RRDPO’s policies and operational procedures.

3. Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in implementing community mobilization strategies that promote gender equality, inclusive participation, and democratic decision-making in line with RRDPO’s policies.
  2. Participate in the design and execution of mobilization plans, ensuring alignment with project timelines and strategic objectives.
  3. beneficiary selection and community engagement.
  4. Identify target communities and mobilize both male and female groups for awareness, participation, and engagement in project activities.
  5. Prepare and deliver training sessions and educational materials for CFAC members, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
  6. Ensure effective coordination with government representatives, community leaders, and local institutions to support project implementation.
  7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement, recommending improvements to increase participation and impact.
  8. Support program operations, including field activities, surveys, and beneficiary verification, in compliance with RRDPO’s operational procedures.
  9. Verify and authenticate beneficiaries during cash/food distribution, including identity checks, fingerprinting, and collection of National ID copies.
  10. Ensure distribution lists are accurately completed, signed by required stakeholders (including donors), and submitted in a clean and timely manner.
  11. Digitize beneficiary records, scan and file distribution lists, and maintain proper documentation in line with data protection policies.
  12. Ensure smooth and orderly distribution processes, prioritizing vulnerable groups such as elderly people, women, and persons with disabilities.
  13. Manage distribution sites, including setup, crowd control, and coordination of logistics and beneficiary flow.
  14. Support volunteer recruitment, assessment, and training, contributing to the capacity-building efforts of CFAC members.
  15. Uphold RRDPO’s code of conduct, administrative and security protocols, and maintain professionalism in all field interactions.
  16. Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager, ensuring responsiveness and flexibility to the dynamic field environment.
  17. Other duties as assigned.

  2. Candidates must also have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
  3. Computer skills required, particularly Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  4. Able to work in a high-pressure situation 
  5. Able to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work on time
  6. High Level of English language Typing.
  7. Showing good behavior and character with the community members and beneficiaries
  8. Strong communication skills required
  9. Ability to use a smartphone
  10. Ability to travel to various districts in the respective province
  11. Data Collection Tools KOBO, ODK

Languages Skills

  1. Pashto: Excellent
  2. Dari: Fluent
  3. English: Good (an asset)
  4. Local Languages of Nuristan: Basic understanding and Communicative level
