Job Purpose:
MHPSS Coordinator will be based at the main office and will travel to the field sites regularly. He/she will oversee all MHPSS programming for the country's response and will manage the MHPSS team as well as monitor IMC's partnership with local partners for the implementation of various MHPSS/DATC projects. As well as he will provide both remote and in-person support to MHPSS officers in field sites, and MHPSS Counselors as needed. He/she will technically support MHPSS staff in field sites, for capacitating on Mental Health Case Management, General Psychosocial Support, and Counseling with evidence-based interventions such as PM+, Thinking Healthy, EQUIP, and mhGAP, and do supervision, contrary level coordination with relevant stakeholders, and actively participate and follow up Afghanistan Central MHPSS- Working Group meetings, Further, MHPSS Coordinator will do MHPSS Need Assessment and update services mapping and support in recruitment of MHPSS team and development of IEC materials and assessment tools, plans, and reports.
