Job Descriptions:

As a Platform & DevOps Engineer at Raftar, you will ensure our ride-hailing platform runs smoothly, efficiently, and securely. You will manage AWS cloud environments, automate deployments with GitLab CI, maintain containerized applications with Docker, and monitor system performance using Datadog.
You will integrate essential services such as Google Maps API and Firebase, troubleshoot technical issues, optimize system performance, and ensure deployments follow best practices for security, scalability, and reliability. Collaboration with development, QA, and product teams will be key to delivering seamless experiences for drivers and passengers.
This role requires a proactive engineer who can manage multiple priorities, respond to emergencies, and continuously improve our platform infrastructure. Your work will directly impact thousands of users daily, contributing to Raftar’s growth and technology-driven solutions in Afghanistan.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Candidates with a Diploma in IT or relevant work experience will also be considered.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or CI/CD implementation.

  • Prior experience managing cloud infrastructure and containerized applications.

Technical Skills:

  • Cloud Platform: AWS

  • CI/CD Tools: GitLab CI

  • Scripting Languages: Bash, PowerShell

  • Containers & Orchestration: Docker

  • Monitoring Tools: Datadog

  • Version Control: Git / GitHub

  • Operating Systems: Linux (Ubuntu)

  • Experience working with Google Maps API and Firebase is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and infrastructure optimization.
