Aseel means Authentic, Original in Pashto, Dari, and several other languages. In 2018, Aseel started as a tech-driven solutions provider headquartered in Washington, DC. Aseel’s journey began with a commitment to uplift artisans and underserved communities in Afghanistan and Turkey. We foresee onboarding all 46 underdeveloped countries to the digital economy, paving the way to connect three billion people being excluded from active participation in the digital economy. About the Program

50 Afghan Women in Tech will identify and support 50 women from Afghanistan to become future technology leaders. The program will enable the fellows to work directly with technology companies that are actively supporting Afghanistan.

The program works as a one-year fellowship that provides fully-remote work opportunities for Afghan women. The package includes a monthly allowance, an internet fee, a workstation, and other requirements that will enable the fellow to work full-time remotely with the organizing partners.

Aseel Technology is hiring a Banking/ Finance Specialist for our 50 Afghan Women in Tech Leaders Program Fellowship Cohort 3 to work with one of our program partners. The role is explained in detail as follows:

Finance/ Banking Specialist

Purpose

The Banking Specialist will support the organization in managing banking relationships, financial transactions, compliance with banking regulations, and ensuring efficient use of financial services to support operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Oversee bank accounts, reconciliations, and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with banking and financial regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert advice on banking products, services, and risk management.
• Support treasury management, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely payments, collections, and financial reporting.

Deliverables

• Accurate and timely bank reconciliations.
• Monthly cash flow and banking reports.
• Recommendations on banking products and services.
• Compliance reports with regulatory requirements.

Reporting

Reports directly to the Banking Customer Experience Manager/ Branch Manager/ Chief of Banking Services

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance Management, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Marketing and Economics.
• A relevant at least 4 to 5-year experience in the banking sector.
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Strong Communication Skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, compliance, and risk management.
• Proficiency in financial systems and MS Excel.
• Familiarity with Afghan/US Banking Systems and Integrations
• Be able to perform reconciliation
• Familiarity with CRM tools and software like Salesforce
