Organization for Sustainable Aid in Afghanistan (OSAA) is a non-governmental, non-profit, women-led organization with no dependence on any political group or party and is a development and humanitarian organization. OSAA was officially registered with the Afghan Ministry of Economy as a national NGO in 2015, aiming to foster the economic and social development of society, in particular women in Afghanistan. OSAA is committed to adopting a sustainable approach to development with long-term positive impacts on society.
The organization’s core founders and board of directors consist of highly educated, experienced, and goal-oriented women and men who endeavor to use their knowledge and experience to empower women and young girls through vocational training, social capacity building, education, employment services, and the development of handicrafts programs in Afghanistan.
The Field Officer will support the planning and implementation of program activities in the field, ensuring effective coordination with communities, local authorities, and stakeholders. Responsibilities include monitoring project compliance with organizational standards, collecting and documenting field data, and submitting timely reports. The officer will assist in conducting needs assessments, identifying challenges, and proposing solutions to enhance program delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in planning and implementation of program activities in the field.
2. Maintain regular communication with communities, local authorities, and project stakeholders.
3. Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
4. Collect and document field data accurately and share timely reports with the central office.
5. Support needs assessments and prepare relevant field assessment reports.
6. Identify implementation challenges and propose practical solutions.
7. Facilitate distributions, awareness sessions, and community meetings.
8. Ensure proper use and safeguarding of OSAA’s resources, assets, and documents.
9. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
• Public Administration
• Business Administration
• Any other relevant field.
Preferred / Advantageous:
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, especially fields that helps in data collection, reporting, or community engagement.
• Short courses or certifications in field data collection, monitoring & evaluation (M&E), or community mobilization are a plus.
Required Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools.
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data collection tools.
• Ability to travel frequently to project sites.
