Support Children and Afghan Women Needs Organization (SCAWNO) is a non-profit NGO registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan, registration number 1174. Established by a group of dedicated and qualified Afghan professionals, SCAWNO aims to promote community development, good governance, and capacity building. The organization was founded by members of Local Youth Councils, with a mission to contribute positively to the development process of communities in Afghanistan through capacity building, women's rights awareness, gender-based violence, children's protection awareness, legal consultation, economic sustainability, income generation projects, literacy, vocational training, health education, and teacher training.
