Shining Star Educational Organization of Afghanistan (SSEOA) is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan, with Registration Number 4388 dated February 18, 2018. SSEOA works in the fields of education, health, and livelihood in the remote regions of Afghanistan. SSEOA envisions creating educational opportunities for girls and women to grow, thrive, and prosper. SSEOA works to empower communities in Afghanistan through education, especially for girls, promotes peace through education, and conveys the importance of these activities all around the country. Our mission is to empower Afghans, especially girls and women in the remote regions of Afghanistan by creating educational opportunities and livelihood skills because SSEOA has a firm belief that without educating girls, peace and prosperity is not possible.SSEOA boasts a team of highly qualified professionals renowned for their discipline, organization, efficiency, and extensive tenure within both national and international organizations. The team is spearheaded by an Executive Body comprising of the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Program Director, Finance Manager, and Program Manager, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. At the helm of strategic governance stands SSEOA's Board of Directors, comprising five distinguished members renowned for their extensive experience working with the government and NGO sector.

Job Descriptions:

The Provincial Coordinator (PC) plays a key role in leading, coordinating, and managing program activities in the mentioned province. The position is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, and reporting of program activities, while ensuring effective collaboration with government bodies, regional staff, community stakeholders, and the central program management team. The PC will provide strong leadership, oversee logistical and administrative management, and maintain compliance with organizational and donor requirements. The role also requires effective communication with partners and stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of activities and the timely, high-quality achievement of program objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Program Coordination and Implementation

  • Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of program activities across target schools, communities, or institutions.
  • Support the selection and engagement of target beneficiaries and facilitators in line with program criteria.
  • Ensure program activities are delivered in phases or steps as designed, including training, mentoring, and evaluation components.
  • Oversee referral mechanisms and linkages with relevant services as required.

Coordination and Representation

  • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with relevant government authorities, local institutions, and community stakeholders.
  • Represent the program at regional and provincial meetings, workshops, and coordination forums.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships to enhance program visibility and sustainability.

Logistics and Administration

  • Ensure all logistical arrangements for training, workshops, and meetings, including transportation, accommodation, refreshments, training materials, and incentives.
  • Oversee the printing, distribution, and proper use of program tools, guidelines, and materials.
  • Monitor financial and material resource utilization to ensure compliance with policies and approved budgets.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

  • Facilitate and coordinate monitoring, mentoring, and supervision visits.
  • Compile and submit accurate and timely progress reports, training reports, and updates.
  • Document lessons learned, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Team Management and Capacity Building

  • Supervise, guide, and mentor regional field teams and facilitators to ensure effective performance.
  • Organize training and orientation sessions for staff where necessary.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Health, Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in program coordination, preferably in multi-sectoral development or humanitarian projects.
    • Proven experience in liaising with government bodies, community institutions, and partner organizations.
    • Strong skills in planning, logistics, and administration.
    • Experience in team supervision, mentoring, and capacity building.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Fluency in local languages and proficiency in English.
    • Strong program and project management skills.
    • Proven leadership and team supervision abilities.
    • Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
    • Basic financial and budget management knowledge.
    • Excellent communication skills in Dari, Pashto, and English.
    • Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills.
    • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
    • Awareness of safeguarding, child protection, and gender sensitivity.
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing contexts.
