Global Partners is an international Nongovernment Organization (NGO) based in the United Kingdom that carries out humanitarian projects worldwide. Global Partners was formed in 1991 with the objectives of advancing education and relieving poverty.

WHAT WE DO:
Global Partners works in the areas of community development, education and training, health improvement, emergency relief, and refugee assistance.
Global Partners Afghanistan is looking for a driver to serve our gabion weaving project work in Baghlan Province.
In addition to typical driver duties, this candidate may be called up to assist in gabion weaving training and supervision – those skills would be ideal.
Employment requirements / qualifications:
• At least 7 years of work experience with an international institution
• Driver’s License
• At least six months of work experience in the gabion weaving sector. May be needed to assist trainers or supervisor in gabion weaving activities.
• Commitment to punctuality, discipline, and teamwork.
• Good communication skills and patience. Able to speak both Dari and Pashto.
• Ideally living in Baghlan Province or familiar with Pul-e-Khumri and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for driving project staff employed by GP.
Responsible for vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire pressure, air filters, cleaning, etc.)
Responsible for advising staff of travel conditions or security.
Act and work responsibly and with integrity according to standards of GP and the Laws of the Government of Afghanistan.
Do not pay bribes under any condition.
Responsible for all other tasks as assigned by your supervisor which fit within the scope of the job position.
