Job Descriptions:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manages the Branch in order to meet the laboratory needs for NHL products.
  2. Deal with the MWS in Mazar-i-Sharif and relevant territory to supply NHL products on time and according to NHL rules and regulations. 
  3. Ensures that the branch is properly staffed and staff are trained to meet customer service needs as well as sales objectives.
  4. Makes certain that all branch operations are performed in accordance with established NHL policies and procedures, either directly or through appropriate supervisor, e.g., balancing, control of vault cash, etc.; makes recommendations for changes/improvements as appropriate.
  5. Communicates with NHL-MO departments to assist in answering questions and resolving issues.
  6. Makes certain that all customer service personnel are adequately trained both with respect to product knowledge and selling techniques.
  7. Ensures that all sales and customer service reporting information is provided on a timely basis.
  8. Conducts regularly scheduled (at least twice a month) sales and customer service meetings; actively encourages staff to build customer relationships.
  9. Manages and supervises recording of sales and marketing reports and customer data.
  10. Manages and supervises the purchasing of various supplies.
  11. Implements strategies to achieve goals assigned to the branch as established in NHL-MO overall strategic plan; assists in the development of the annual budget for the branch and adheres to budget parameters.
  12. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
  13. Actively participates in Medical Union meetings and activities in a manner, which reflects favorably on NHL-MO.
  14. Will be assigned other duties and responsibilities as may be required to meet the goals and objectives of NHL-MO.

Directly supervises assigned personnel as follows:

  1. Assists in the selection of new personnel as appropriate.
  2. Makes provisions for the proper orientation and training of new personnel.
  3. Reviews employee performance throughout the probationary period and on an annual basis thereafter.
  4. Organizes, schedules, and distributes work among assigned personnel and ensures proper branch staff levels to meet customer needs.
  5. Keeps personnel informed of pertinent policies and procedures
  6. Upward communication from employees is encouraged.
  7. Administers personnel policies and procedures as established by NHL policy.

Job Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in the above mentioned fields.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning abilities.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management software and other tools.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Solid computer skills & awareness of web-based marketing and social media.
  • Good language command on Dari, Pashto and English.
  • Ability to travel to branch locations as needed.
