Job Descriptions:

Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator will oversee and lead implementation of hygiene promotion activities and hygiene kit distribution within targeted communities in Daikundi province. The role involves planning, coordination, quality assurance, and supervision of staff and field implementation to ensure the delivery of effective hygiene behavior change interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with communities, government bodies, and stakeholders.
  2. Coordinate with program, procurement, finance, and HR departments to ensure smooth project implementation.
  3. Maintain communication between Kabul office and field teams to align project activities.
  4. Attend project related meeting, training, sectoral meetings and share minutes.
  5. Develop a detailed implementation plan aligned with project documents, NQA, and donor standards.
  6. Supervise field assessments, surveys, and data collection; identify and propose improvements to project delivery.
  7. Ensure accurate data collection and on‑time submission of activity, distribution, and impact reports to program management and donors.
  8. Support procurement planning for hygiene kits and IEC materials, including facilitating purchase requests (PRs) and coordinating with logistics.
  9. Monitor project progress and compile relevant data.
  10. Submit timely weekly, monthly, and annual reports to the main office and relevant government sectors.
  11. Travel to remote project sites as required.
  12. Maintain documentation including photos, IEC materials, kit distribution records, and feedback logs.
  13. Manage staff attendance, timesheets, leave requests, and ensure compliance with HR policies.
  14. Oversee procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution of hygiene kits to beneficiaries.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in WASH-related field, Public Health, Social Science, Management or another related field.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in project coordination/ management, preferably in NGO sectors.
  • Proficiency in Dari, Pashto and English; strong IT skills (Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of local context; ability to travel to remote areas.
