Logistics Manager Job Description:

Job Brief

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee our distribution operations.

The Logistics Manager responsibilities include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods, managing processes for the transportation of materials, and ensuring effective and safe delivery of goods to sites.

Candidates should have great record-keeping abilities, be able to manage stock control, and be comfortable liaising with suppliers.

Ultimately, the role of the Logistics Manager is to ensure that the entire supply chain process, from order placement to the point of delivery, is as efficient and smooth as possible

Responsibilities

  • To manage the procurement activities, according to procurement rules and regulations.
  • Recording all sites equipment.
  • Plan and manage logistics, warehouse and transportation.
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Arrange warehouse.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Distributing fuel for sites according to schedule.
  • Ensure the processing of every material request as per procurement policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate efficient and quality maintenance of office (including generator, electricity, fuel, oil and solar system) to ensure comfortable workplace for staff
  • To keep track of the procurement documents and keep its hard copies and update the computer database for future record keeping.
  • Managing warehouse.
  • Ensure the adequate control mechanism in consumption of fuel in office and sites.
  • To ensure timely supply of equipment, material to the project sites in coordination with concerned project units and logistic.
  • Facilitate a quarterly/half yearly procurement plan.
  • Coordinate efficient office administration and Orient staffs on procurement requirements
  • Update the supplier database and price list of different items.
  • Supervise regular maintenance of supplier register.
  • Provide quality, timely and efficient procurement of material.
  • Undertake verification of quality of material and collect quotations.
  • Distribution of goods to the provinces.
  • Keep proper filing system and documents of all procurement related activities
  • To ensure on time provision of procurement goods/services after completion of necessary documentation to the program and other support units.
  • Maintains day to day inventories & store.
  • Issue RFQ (Request for Quotation).
  • Keep record of procurement documents of procured goods and services.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly procurement reports.
  • Complete the procurement documents and do clearance with finance unit.
  • Working closely with Network Operation Center (NOC) department.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in BBA/economics or Auto mechanic.
  • 8 years’ experience in logistics and Procurement 
  •  Proven operational and administrative management.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Flexible, confident and able to handle multi-tasks
  • High skill ability in (QuickBooks and MS Office package), Negotiation and Interpersonal Skills

 Reporting: The logistic Manager will report to Administrative Office and CEO
