The Legal Organizer will play a key role in mobilizing communities, raising awareness about legal aid services, and facilitating the implementation of the program’s activities at the grassroots level. The incumbent will work closely with local stakeholders, including community leaders, government institutions, and civil society organizations, to promote the importance of legal documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Mobilize communities to increase awareness of legal rights and civil documentation processes.
• Conduct community meetings, focus group discussions, and awareness sessions on legal aid services.
• Identify and support vulnerable individuals in need of legal assistance and refer them to relevant service providers.
• Collect data and maintain records of community engagement activities.
• Support monitoring and evaluation efforts by gathering qualitative and quantitative information.
• Assist in organizing training sessions and capacity-building programs for community members.
• Report on challenges, gaps, and successes to the Project Coordinator and Project manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, law, development studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in community engagement, social mobilization, or legal aid programs.
• Strong understanding of civil documentation processes and legal rights in Afghanistan.
• Experience working with refugees, IDPs, or marginalized communities is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team in challenging environments.
• Fluency in Dari and Pashto; English proficiency is an asset.
